HCG and GnRH Analogue Trigger Failure – Fertility Plus

“HCG and GnRH analogue trigger failure
A recent large retrospective analysis has shed light on the effectiveness of different trigger types in IVF cycles. Comparing 2,034 donor GnRHa-trigger cycles with 1,433 hCG-trigger cycles, the study found EFS incidences of 3.5% for GnRHa and 3.1% for hCG, indicating no significant difference between the two methods when executed properly. This aligns with earlier literature citing a 2–7% EFS incidence for hCG triggers, reinforcing that trigger type alone does not appear to increase EFS risk.
