  • Thrombotic and Vascular Burden: Marked increase in deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, splanchnic vein thrombosis, and stroke.
  • Obstetric Pathologies: Higher baseline incidence of placental insufficiency, preeclampsia, early miscarriage, and stillbirth.
  • Hemostatic Paradox: Concurrent elevation in bleeding risks, notably postpartum hemorrhage, requiring careful titration of antiplatelet or anticoagulant agents.
