Ryan Marquardt: Inflammation, Gynecological Disease, and Infertility
Ryan Marquardt, Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“NEW PAPER ALERT
Have you ever been curious about the connections between uterine inflammation, gynecological disease, and infertility? I’m excited to share our new paper that addresses this topic! In it we describe our findings that a transcription factor called serum response factor (SRF) is dysregulated in some women with endometriosis and that, in mice, disrupting its activity leads to severe uterine inflammation, fibrosis, and infertility. I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed to this project and am hopeful that it helps push forward the ongoing research in the field!
