Krystel Nyangoh Timoh: Bullying Linked to Burnout in OB-GYN Residency
Krystel Nyangoh Timoh, Lecturer Hospital Practitioner at CHU de Rennes, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper published in Journal of Gynecology Obstetrics and Human Reproduction:
“Very proud to share the recent publication of our team around a societal issue in the Journal of Gynecology Obstetrics and Human Reproduction.
Among the 625 OB-GYN french residents (n=1,023) who responded to our national survey, more than 50% reported experiences of bullying, and nearly 20% showed signs of burnout.
A significant correlation between workplace bullying and burnout was found.
These findings shed light on an important reality within our specialty and emphasize the need for continued reflection and action to support residents’ well-being.
Congratulations to Chloé, whose MD thesis work led to this publication — an achievement that reflects both her dedication and the importance of the topic.
To read the suggestions of improvements proposed by residents, please read the article here.”
