Nitiz Murdia: In IVF, Small Process Gaps in the Lab Quietly Compound into Lost Outcomes
Nitiz Murdia, Director of the Embryology Lab at Indira IVF Group, shared on LinkedIn about a paper he co-authored with colleagues, published in Reproductive BioMedicine Online:
”In IVF, small process gaps in the lab quietly compound into lost outcomes and lost revenue.
A new study shows that simply auditing lab compliance systematically lifted blastocyst rates by over 5 points and biochemical pregnancy rates by 3+ points, alongside a significant jump in protocol compliance (74.4% – 80.1%).
The study analysed 34,461 ICSI cycles across 30 centres and demonstrated how our structured audits, 149 quality checkpoints, standardised protocols and digital monitoring were associated with measurable improvements in laboratory compliance, blastocyst formation and biochemical pregnancy rates.
For multi-clinic networks, this is a low-cost, high-leverage lever: standardized auditing as a scalable path to better outcomes and stronger unit economics across centres.”
Title: Systematic standardization improves compliance and performance across a large IVF network through audits and digitally enabled quality management
