PGT-A Integration Into PGT-M Protocols in Young ART-Naïve Patients – RBMO

Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This retrospective cohort study explored the clinical value of integrating genome-wide aneuploidy screening into protocols for preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disorders (PGT-M), forming what we refer to as coPGT-M.

The study by Frauke Vanden Meerschaut and team at Ghent University Hospital focused on a cohort of young ART-naïve patients, for whom the natural prevalence of euploid embryos is relatively high, and aims to determine whether this combined genetic approach could enhance clinical outcomes in a meaningful way.

The findings suggest that integrating PGT-A into PGT-M protocols in this population may be associated with lower early pregnancy loss rates and higher live birth rates per transfer, without compromising cumulative outcomes. These results indicate that coPGT-M could represent a promising approach within selected PGT-M contexts.
