How the PREPARE Trial is Changing Care for Women with Lupus – RI-MUHC
Research Institute of the MUHC (RI-MUHC) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Évelyne Vinet et al. published in Rheumatology:
“A new study led by Dr. Évelyne Vinet at The Institute has shown that a simple educational tool can make a powerful difference for pregnant women living with lupus.
In the PREPARE trial, participants who used the tool gained a better understanding of preeclampsia—a serious pregnancy complication—and showed promising signs of improved adherence to low-dose aspirin, a proven preventive measure.
This work highlights how tailored, evidence-based education can lead to safer pregnancies in high-risk populations. The research team will now build on these findings through the LEGACY cohort to explore broader implementation.
