New Insights on Oocyte Yield in Endometriosis and PCOM – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Nadia Imama et al. published in RBMO:
“By including women with polycystic ovarian morphology (PCOM), the findings of this novel study evaluating the effect of oocyte number on ART outcomes in women with endometriosis provides a clearer direction to the treating physician on which strategy to use to maximize oocyte yield and avoid unnecessary interventions to influence oocyte quality or endometrial receptivity.
The report shows that when reduced oocyte yield in women with endometriosis is compensated owing to the presence of co-existing PCOM, the important ART outcomes such as cumulative LBR and clinical pregnancy rates, are comparable to the results in a good prognosis cohort, such as women with PCOM alone.
RBMO subscribers can read the full paper from the Reproductive Endocrinology and Health section of issue 51.5, now.”
