Enhancing Patient Counseling with 1PN Embryo Findings – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Tammy Lee et al. published in RBMO:
“This new review from, Tammy Lee and team across institutes in Perth, Australia investigates the developmental, clinical and neonatal outcomes of 1PN embryos compared with 2PN embryos, concluding that monopronucleated embryos may expand the pool of embryos available for clinical use.
The results of the review may be used to guide future policies regarding the use of 1PN embryos, and reproductive professionals can provide more informed counseling for patients on the developmental and clinical potential of 1PN embryos.
These findings are particularly important for patients with a poor prognosis, who may not have any 2PN embryos available, and for whom a 1PN embryo may be their only opportunity for a healthy live birth.
Published open access, the review can be read in full for free from our in-press articles section now.”
