“I came across some fascinating research recently in Frontiers in Immunology that looks at preeclampsia from a very different angle.
Instead of focusing only on the placenta, it explores how the maternal gut and placental signalling may be connected much earlier in pregnancy. If this link holds up, it could open new paths for earlier diagnostics and more preventative approaches – exactly the kind of innovation the maternal health space needs.”
