Ezgi Darici: Whether More Surgery Is Better in Bowel Endometriosis?
Ezgi DARICI, OB/GYN Specialist at Acibadem Healthcare Group, shared post on LinkedIn:
“Is more surgery always better in bowel endometriosis?
Our latest paper in Acta Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica takes a step back and questions a long-standing surgical reflex.
When we consider the potential for significant complications associated with colorectal surgery, this raises a critical point: anatomical completeness does not necessarily translate into clinical benefit.
This work invites a more thoughtful, proportionate, and evidence-based approach to surgical decision-making in endometriosis, and underlines the need for well-designed comparative studies.”
