“What are the risks of D and C ?

Intrauterine synechiae after dilation and curettage (D and C) are rare, occurring in only 0.8% of cases, but the risk significantly increases with repeat procedures. A recent study highlights that the hazard of adhesions rises nearly fourfold after two D and Cs and over twelvefold after three or more.
