Harald Krentel: Scientific Exchange and Surgical Innovation Take Centre Stage at EEC2026
Harald Krentel, Gynecological Surgeon and Oncologist at Klinikum Aschaffenburg-Alzenau gemeinnützige GmbH, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Now, after a week has passed it is time to say:
The EEC2026 in Bologna was a wonderful congress!
Congratulations to the EEL – European Endometriosis League, especially to the immediate Past President Dr. Mohamed Mabrouk and the Congress President Prof. Renato Seracchioli and his team in Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and to the Congress Secretary Guri Majak. Amazing meeting at the end of a very successful 2-year presidency of Dr. Mohamed Mabrouk, in a great atmosphere, with a very high scientific level, an incredible panel of experts, and so many young colleagues, perfect weather and many beautiful moments and details to remember in the heart of beautiful Bologna.
Congratulations and good luck to the new President of the EEL, Attila Bokor and the new executive board – Alin Stefan Constantin, Annemiek Nap, Carla Tomassetti, Pawel Basta and Christian Becker.
The shared lecture with a on Pros and Cons of Robotic Assisted Surgery in Endometriosis was a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and concepts on future developments in our field.
I was honored by Dr. Mohamed Mabrouk, Alin Stefan Constantin and Hans Tinneberg to handover the Best Poster Award – the Harald Krentel Award – to my dear friend and colleague Szabó Gábor for his outstanding work.
Our submitted video from my team at Klinikum Aschaffenburg-Alzenau gemeinnützige GmbH on Single Port Robotic Surgery in deep endometriosis was nominated among the 3 Best Videos – and it was a great privilege to personally meet the price winner Kiyoshi Kanno from Kurashiki Medical Center in Okayama, Japan.
Most importantly, the EEC2026 was the perfect moment to meet so many friends and colleagues from around the world – all with the same motivation and inspiration – to improve diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for our patients.
See you in Maastricht in 2028.”
