Understanding Your AMH Levels is Key to Knowing Your Ovarian Reserve – Fertility Plus
Fertility Plus shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Understanding your AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) levels is key to knowing your ovarian reserve! Produced by the small follicles in your ovaries, AMH gives insight into how many eggs you have left.
Remember, AMH measures quantity, not quality. A low result doesn’t mean you can’t conceive—it simply reflects your egg reserve.
Here’s what to know:
- Levels typically decline from your mid-twenties onward.
- Average level at 25: ~3.2 ng/mL
- By 40, it’s around 0.7 ng/mL and close to undetectable by 45.
The sooner you know your AMH level, the more options you have! It’s about being informed and empowered, not fearful.
