Hematopoietic X Chromosome Loss May Offer New Insight Into Ovarian Reserve – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This new study from a team in Osaka, led by Taiki Kikuchi, presents findings which suggest that hematopoietic X chromosome loss (LOX) may capture information that is complementary to conventional ovarian reserve markers.
The results adds to alternative biomarkers that may better capture age-related reproductive decline and provide complementary information to existing clinical tools, indicating that low-level haematopoietic LOX detectable in peripheral blood is associated with female reproductive outcomes and may represent a previously underexplored dimension of reproductive ageing.
Published open access, the paper can be read in full for free from issue 52.6, now.”
