Femi Oladapo: Global Pre-eclampsia Summit: Aligning Priorities for Impact
Femi Oladapo, Head, Maternal and Perinatal Health Unit at the World Health Organization, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Delighted to share that our Perspective article, ‘Global Pre-eclampsia Summit: Aligning Priorities for Impact,’ has now been published in The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Women’s Health.
The article provides a bird’s-eye view of the rationale for convening the Summit, the key discussions across the five strategic pillars, and the emerging priorities that will inform the upcoming Global Pre-eclampsia Roadmap and Call to Action.
The publication reflects a growing recognition that accelerating progress on pre-eclampsia will require greater coordination across stakeholders, institutions and investments—from research and innovation through to implementation and impact.
We hope it serves as a useful resource for colleagues working across maternal and newborn health, and as an advocacy tool to help sustain momentum around the agenda emerging from Global Pre-eclampsia Summit in Kigali.
Many thanks to all Summit participants and partners whose contributions helped shape both the discussions and the vision captured in this article.”
