Emerging Treatments for Premature Ovarian Insufficiency – IVI RMA Global
IVI RMA Global shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Ovarian insufficiency can take different forms. A new multicenter, retrospective study offers clarity on emerging treatments for women experiencing premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), or premature menopause.
Research co-led by Dr. Sonia Herraiz Raya of the IVI Foundation evaluated intraovarian platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in over 300 women — 207 poor ovarian responders (POR) and 146 with POI, all of whom declined oocyte donation. In poor ovarian responders, intraovarian PRP was associated with improved antral follicle counts and enhanced oocyte quality, while no meaningful improvement in IVF or reproductive outcomes was observed in women with POI.
As awareness grows during Menopause Awareness Month, studies like this reinforce the importance of patient-specific approaches and evidence-based care in reproductive medicine. At IVI RMA Global, we remain committed to responsible innovation and advancing precision fertility care for every patient, especially those navigating the complex challenges of premature menopause.”
