Shreyasi Sharma: Seeing a Former Fellow Return to Her Community to Champion Fetal Medicine
Shreyasi Sharma, Director Consultant at Fetal Medicine and Genetics Centre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The true legacy of teaching is not measured by the knowledge we share, but by the lives that knowledge goes on to touch.
First time in North East India, and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and special beginning.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gunjan and Apeksha Hospital for the warm welcome. Seeing a former fellow return to her own community and champion Fetal Medicine is one of the greatest privileges of being a teacher.
The most touching moment – When the proprietor of the hospital said – we never knew that so many conditions could be diagnosed before birth.
That one sentence made the entire journey worthwhile reiterating the belief that awareness is often the first and most powerful intervention..
Today, my heart is full—not because I delivered a talk, but because I witnessed the ripple effect of learning, mentorship, and a shared commitment to improving pregnancy care..”
