Novel Evidence of a Significant Association Between Adenomyosis and Chronic Endometritis – RBMO

Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Marcel Steinmann et al. published in RBMO:

”This systematic review and meta-analysis from Marcel Steinmann, Dimitrios-Rafail Kalaitzopoulos, Alexandra Kohl Schwartz, Tanya Karrer, Michael von Wolff, and Angela Vidal provides novel evidence of a significant association between adenomyosis and chronic endometritis (CE).

The results suggest that women with adenomyosis have a markedly higher risk of CE compared with those without adenomyosis, deepening our understanding of the shared pathophysiology of these conditions and indicating that they frequently coexist. While the direction of causality remains uncertain, the available data suggest that this association is unlikely to be a simple coincidence.”
