Standing Together Through Infertility – ESHRE
European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Involuntary childlessness affects more than the individual – it touches siblings, parents, partners, and friends – a true ripple effect.
Yet, we couldn’t find a single government-run public campaign that helps loved ones know how to support someone going through this.
Many relatives don’t know how to guide or support their loved ones facing infertility. They don’t know where to look for help, how to talk about it with sensitivity, or what to say (and what not to say) – because no, going on holiday, forgetting all about it or perhaps wanting it more (or wanting it less) is NOT a fertility treatment.
Let’s promote open, sensitive conversations and use language that heals, not harms. Let’s equip our near and dear with the right tools, language, and understanding – so they can offer real support, not misplaced advice.
Because fertility is a family matter.”
