Jessica Juhaish: Tests Worth Having in Hand for Fertility Assessment

Jessica Juhaish, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Dr. Helena Taylor Clinic, shared on LinkedIn։

“Fertility assessment tends to start either very early, driven by anxiety, or a year later than it should, driven by reassurance. Both cost the same thing: options.

These are the thresholds I work to, the tests worth having in hand, and the one that is fastest to order and most often ordered last. It is the semen analysis, almost every time.

Slide six is the one I would read twice. AMH is a marker of ovarian reserve, useful for planning. It is not a prediction of pregnancy, and it should not be used alone to reassure or to alarm.

Educational content, not a diagnosis.

Individual advice needs an individual consultation.”
