”In the UK House of Lords, I spoke about the urgent need for fertility education in the school curriculum.
As a fertility consultant, I’ve met many patients who commented that fertility education – a basic understanding of how their bodies work and how lifestyle choices can affect their future fertility – would have made a huge difference.
Everyone deserves the knowledge to understand their reproductive health and make informed choices about their future.
Addressing declining birth rates is important. As we face the economic challenges of declining birth rates in an ageing population, fertility education in schools can help to address declining birth rates in the long term.
Education works. Knowledge is power. We owe it to our young people.
