What Would Work Look Like If People Didn’t Have to Choose Between Their Fertility Journey and Their Job? – ESHRE
European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) shared on LinkedIn:
“You can be good at your job and still be struggling to get through the day.
You can be answering emails while waiting for a fertility test result.
Sitting in a meeting after an early-morning appointment.
Using your lunch break to make yet another phone call to the clinic.
Making sure you can fit your 2pm injection into your working day and administer it safely – wherever you happen to be.
Trying to concentrate after learning bad news…
For people going through fertility diagnosis or treatment, work doesn’t pause just because life has become complicated.
And that’s what Double Duty is about.
This year, European Fertility Week is asking a simple question:
What would work look like if people didn’t have to hide, struggle or choose between their fertility journey and their job?
We want to openly talk about what people actually experience and what they actually need.
- More understanding.
- More flexibility.
- Better support.
- Safe spaces.
- Policies that work in real life.
Fertility journeys are deeply personal, but they need systemic support at work.
Join the conversation. Make the invisible manageable. Build fertility aware workplaces.”
