Alexander Nadal: Still Processing ASRM 2026
Alexander Nadal, Chief Executive Officer at Pomegranate, shared on LinkedIn:
“Still processing American Society for Reproductive Medicine – ASRM 2026 and the 15+ hour days running between the convention center and an endless array of crab feasts, happy hours, and satellite events.
This is an industry in transition.
AI is no longer just a clinical story about sperm, egg, and embryo selection, it’s starting to work its way into the rest of the practice.
That shift is exactly why I was there, and it was energizing to sit with so many people in the field and share what we’re building at Pomegranate.
Fertility clinics transitioning to more reimbursed cycles will need the right data, and workflow tools to scale to the volume of administration required, while remaining financially viable.
A few moments that stuck with me:
It was great to sit in on the Fertility Providers Alliance, and listen in to the newly appointed exec director, Jodi Neuhauser, speak to how the industry is fighting for IVF access through legislative advocacy, stakeholder education, and coordinated fundraising campaigns.
Special thanks to the CryoFuture and FertilAI teams for letting me camp out at their booths, and my apologies for any pitches I might have botched on your behalf.
I owe a real thank-you to Barb Collura, who has been a national leader on IVF access for years. Many patients with fertility benefits owe credit to Barb and the world she did while at Resolve.
It was a treat to meet Robert Kiltz, who completely rewired how I think about just how much nutrition matters in fertility.
And great to catch up with the legendary IVF quant Steve Rooks, presenting his work on how cost to baby impacts utilization of ART across regions.
I also enjoyed watching Christine Allen debate the opportunities and challenges of deploying AI inside an IVF clinic, and where it actually belongs.
And it was great to meet Jules McDonald and her team from the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, positioning itself to be the next hub for reproductive medicine innovation.
These are just a handful of the conversations that stuck with me, there were far too many good ones to name. If we connected at ASRM, thank you. It meant a lot.
I came home last Wednesday afternoon exhausted but I’m genuinely glad I went, and more energized than ever by the real interest people showed in what we’re building at Pomegranate.”
