Sara Getter: Cannabis-Based Solutions for Endometriosis
Sara Getter, Master of Public Health student at Imperial College London, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I’m delighted to share the publication of my first research article in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ANZJOG).
Titled ‘A Longitudinal Assessment of Endometriosis Patients Prescribed Cannabis-Based Medicinal Products: A Case Series From the UK Medical Cannabis Registry’ the study explores the efficacy and safety of cannabis-based medicinal products for endometriosis-associated chronic pain, using patient-reported outcomes data from the U.K. Medical Cannabis Registry, managed by Curaleaf Clinic.
Having recently undergone surgery for endometriosis myself, contributing to research that strengthens the evidence base around chronic pain management feels especially meaningful. I hope this work adds to the growing and exciting field of medical cannabis as a therapeutic option for chronic pain conditions.
I am deeply grateful to all my co-authors and to everyone who supported this project. A heartfelt thank you to my supervisor, Simon Erridge, for his insight, encouragement, and invaluable guidance throughout this project.
You can read the full paper here.”
