FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“FIGO/Chien-Tien Hsu Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology 2025:
Dr Quyen Nguyen, Dr Pedro H. Silva and Dr Afrin Shaffi have begun their fellowship placements this week!
They’ve kicked off with a full immersion at Tygerberg Hospital, participating in ward rounds, clinics, pathology meetings and observing colposcopy procedures and advanced gynae-oncology surgeries. The fellowship gives early-career professionals hands-on clinical and research experience, including attending the FIGO World Congress 2025 and training at a leading gynaecologic oncology centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
We’re excited to follow their journey and the insights they’ll share. Find out more about the fellowship here.”
