Anis Feki: Innovative Strategies for Bowel Endometriosis Management
Anis Feki, Chair of ESHRE, shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine:
“Proud to share that our team has just published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine: ‘Comprehensive Approaches to Endometriosis Management and Targeted Strategies for Bowel Endometriosis.’
In this review, we address the complexity of bowel endometriosis and highlight practical, patient-centred strategies – balancing symptom relief, functional outcomes, and surgical morbidity. We also propose a clearer classification of bowel procedures (lesion features, technique, and possible vaginal opening) to improve reporting, comparability, and future prospective research.
My sincere thanks to each co-author for this excellent team effort: Arrigo Fruscalzo , Alexandre Vallée , Carolin Marti , Francois Pugin , Jean-Marc Ayoubi, and Michael D. Mueller.
