Counselling Experiences of Donor-Conceived Individuals – RBMO
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This study adds to the limited knowledge regarding the experiences of donor-conceived people when meeting the donor in the context of specialized counselling support, as well as to other individual contexts adding to the experience of this meeting.
The findings , from Floor van Rooij and colleagues in The Netherlands, offer valuable insights and direction for best practices in counselling and linking organizations, considering aspects such as expectations and the role of the counsellor, donor’s characteristics, changes to support over time, intensity and content of their counselling.
