Christopher Robinson: Uterine Scar Dehiscence at Next Pregnancy According to Uterine Closure Technique
Christopher Robinson, Associate Professor Maternal Fetal Medicine at University of South Carolina, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Uterine scar dehiscence at next pregnancy according to uterine closure technique – Measurement of the lower uterine segment thickness in the third trimester
(A) Transabdominal examination of the lower segment by ultrasound. (B) The portion of the image where the lower segment appears thinnest is zoomed in and the thickness is measured. (C) The examination is repeated by transvaginal ultrasound in the same patient. (D) While the measurement was 3.1 mm by abdominal ultrasound, the thinnest measurement of 2.0 mm is retained.”
