Exploring AI’s Role in Future Endometriosis Research and Care – The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Women’s Health
The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Women’s Health shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Episode 4 of The Lancet Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Women’s Health is now live!! In this episode, Sonia, Sarah, and Ben discuss the special issue dedicated to Endometriosis. Sonia picks out highlights from the Blue section of the journal, which includes a fantastic profile and a powerful lived experience essay, and Sarah highlights early research into the non-hormonal treatment of endometriosis-associated pain.
In the second half of the episode, Ben sits down with Tatjana Gibbons and Devon Evans, Evans in an extended interview to discuss two scoping reviews included in issue 3. Tatjana highlights the current policy landscape for endometriosis, with Australia and France as key examples, considers the implications of these plans and mulls over the next steps. Devon tackles the availability of national endometriosis care guidelines identifying regions with significant gaps in guidance. Tatjana and Devon set out their hopes for the future and, of course, there is a brief discussion of the potential of AI to make future works possible.
