Shining a Light on Chronic Pain at Midlife on World Menopause Day – IMS
International Menopause Society (IMS) shared on LinkedIn:
“This World Menopause Day we’re shining a light on chronic pain at midlife – working towards better recognition, research and care.
Chronic pain affects a significant proportion of women during and after the menopause transition, yet it remains underestimated in both research and care.
Save the date: World Menopause Day takes place every year on 18th October. It was founded by the IMS in 2009 to raise awareness and improve the experiences of women worldwide.
Each year, an IMS White Paper on the chosen theme sets the global agenda for menopause care.
Sign up at worldmenopauseday.com to be the first to know when this year’s resources become available – including the White Paper for healthcare professionals and accessible guidance for women and anyone interested in midlife health.
