FIGO, WHO and ICM Highlight Global Efforts to Implement New PPH Guidelines – FIGO
FIGO (International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Together, we can end postpartum haemorrhage (PPH).
Following today’s HRP Research partner session on implementing the new global PPH guidelines, FIGO President Frank Louwen chaired a dynamic panel discussion focused on turning evidence into action for women and newborns worldwide.
Pictured with colleagues from International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and World Health Organization (WHO): Prof Jacqueline Dunkley-Bent (ICM), Ioannis Gallos (WHO/HRP) and Femi Oladapo (WHO/HRP).
The session highlighted the new WHO–FIGO–ICM consolidated PPH guidelines, implementation tools, country experiences, and insights from the upcoming 2026 Lancet PPH Series – supporting prevention, early recognition and effective treatment of PPH across all settings.
