Historically, male infertility has received less attention in the global infertility challenge. Yet with in vitro fertilization (IVF) achieving success in only about 30% of cases, the paradigm is shifting toward addressing male factors as well. Key drivers include:

  • Growing social acceptance of assisted reproduction
  • Expanding scientific evidence on the mechanisms of male infertility
  • Clinical practice moving from female-centric to both-partner focus
  • Rising VC investment in male infertility startups

Today this is a ~$1B niche. But with later maternal age and declining sperm quality worldwide, the opportunities ahead may be substantial.
