Igbashio Faith: Do You Actually Know When You’re Most Fertile?
Igbashio Faith, Women’s Health Coach, shared on LinkedIn:
“Do you actually know when you’re most fertile?
A lot of us grew up knowing when our period should come, but not necessarily understanding what happens throughout the rest of our cycle.
Fertility awareness is simply learning to understand the signs your body gives you throughout your menstrual cycle.
Pay attention to things like:
- Your cycle length – know when your period starts and how long your cycles usually are.
- Cervical mucus changes – it can change in appearance and texture around ovulation.
- Your body’s patterns – some women notice changes in their body around ovulation, such as mild pelvic discomfort or breast tenderness.
Understanding these patterns can help you become more aware of your reproductive health and better understand your body.
But remember, fertility awareness is not the same as assuming you can predict ovulation perfectly.
Cycles can vary, and fertility-awareness methods require proper learning if you’re using them to prevent or achieve pregnancy.
Your body is always communicating with you.
The more you understand it, the better you can advocate for yourself.
Start paying attention.
Start learning.
Start asking questions.
Save this post so you can come back to it, and share it with a woman who needs to understand her cycle better.
And tell me in the comments: Do you know the signs your body gives you around ovulation?”
