Jennifer R. Berman: The Biggest Gap in Menopause Care is Continuity
Jennifer R. Berman, Co-Founder and Creator of The Menopause Biotype, shared on LinkedIn:
”The biggest gap in menopause care is continuity.
Too many women are still pushed toward one of two extremes: just live with it or optimize everything. Good medicine lives in between.
A woman’s needs at 45 may not be her needs at 52. The hormone dose that worked during early perimenopause may need to change later. Sleep, metabolism, bone density, cardiovascular risk, cognition, and sexual health all evolve over time.
Menopause care should evolve too. It should be an ongoing process of reassessing symptoms, labs, risk, treatment response, and what matters most to that woman at that stage of life.
This is where continuity becomes clinical strategy. Keep refining the plan as the biology changes.”
