“A reminder for anyone trying to conceive who needs to hear this today:
You are allowed to keep living while you’re waiting for the baby you so desperately want.
Book the holiday.
Go for dinner.
Buy the clothes.
Make plans that have nothing to do with ovulation, appointments, test results, or treatment.
Because when you desperately want a baby, it’s very easy to start living your whole life in the future.
‘When I’m pregnant…’
‘When this cycle works…’
‘When we finally have our baby…’
But you are still here.
And your life is happening now, too.
Don’t put all of you on hold while you’re waiting for two lines.”
