“For three years, my life revolved around two-week waits.

Two weeks picking myself up after another disappointment, finding hope again and trying for a baby.

Two weeks desperately hoping I was.

And then doing it all over again.

Month after month.

I remember analysing every little twinge.

Were my boobs sore?

Was that implantation cramping?

Was I feeling more tired than usual?

I’d promise myself I wouldn’t test early.

But the temptation to know was overwhelming.

And when my period arrived, so did that familiar crushing disappointment.

And before I’d even had time to pick myself up, I was already thinking about the next fertile window.

It was exhausting.

Because when you’re struggling to conceive, you’re not just waiting for a positive pregnancy test.

You’re waiting for the life you’ve been imagining.

The baby you’ve been dreaming of.

The chance to finally become a mum.

And somewhere along the way, it’s so easy to put everything else on hold.

I know because I did exactly that.

And it’s something I see in so many of the women I now support.

But here’s something I wish I’d understood sooner.

You don’t have to wait until you’re pregnant to start feeling like yourself again.
You can still desperately want a baby while finding ways to enjoy your life today.
You can make plans without feeling guilty.
You can have moments of happiness without feeling like you’re giving up.

And you can get emotional support to help you cope with the uncertainty rather than carrying it all alone.

Because your life matters now.

Not just when you finally see those two lines.”
