Margaret Cali: You Don’t Have to Hold It All Together to Be Doing Your Best
Margaret Cali, IVF Readiness Integration Strategist, shared on LinkedIn:
“Many women going through IVF become very good at holding it all together.
They turn up to appointments, keep working, stay positive and answer ‘How are you going?’ with ‘I’m fine.’
From the outside, they look like they’re coping.
But holding it all together can mean:
- carrying a great deal quietly,
- including grief,
- fear
- and exhaustion that never comes up in a consultation.
She doesn’t have to hold it all together to be doing her best.
Sometimes the most useful thing we can offer is a space where she doesn’t have to.
For those supporting women through IVF, how do you let her know it’s safe to stop holding it all together?”
