Nwankwo Lilian: Asking for Fertility Help Isn’t a Weakness, It’s Courage
Nwankwo Lilian, Human Anatomy Graduate with Academic Grounding in Embryology, Reproductive Biology, Histology, and Laboratory Sciences, shared on LinkedIn:
“Nobody prepares you for how difficult it can be to say, ‘I need help,’ especially when it comes to fertility.
- You’ve tried
- You’ve prayed
- You’ve cried
You’ve even tried pretending you’re not bothered, but asking for help – that one can feel scary, and it’s not just the woman alone; the man may also be thinking, ‘What if they find something wrong with me?’
So both of you keep waiting, but sometimes, courage is not having all the answers; it’s sitting together and saying Let’s check, Let’s understand, Let’s know what we’re dealing with.
Asking for fertility help isn’t a weakness; it’s courage with an appointment date.”
