Putri Sari Pertiwi Siahaan։ Hope Inside the Lab
Putri Sari Pertiwi Siahaan, Senior Clinical Embryologist at Sim Phally Clinic, shared on LinkedIn:
“Hope Inside The Lab.
Three oocytes retrieved. After denudation, two GV-stage were found. Only 1 mature (ICSI) – Fertilization – 8-cell – Blastocyst (3BB).
It sounds simple, right?
But every step comes with uncertainty.
As embryologists, sometimes it feels like 50:50.
- Fertilization or unfertilization.
- Development or arrest.
- Blastocyst or no blastocyst.
But there is one word that keeps us going: Hope.
Hope reminds us that there is still a chance.
So we keep looking, checking every detail, and handling every oocyte and embryo with the greatest care.
This embryo giving advice: Even when the probability is less than 50%, it is still a chance.
And perhaps that is what our patients carry when they walk through our clinic door.
Because sometimes, one embryo is all it takes to keep Hope alive.”
