Advancing HIV Research Through PBMC Isolation – RIRCA
The Reproductive Immunology Research Consortium in Africa (RIRCA) shared a post on the LinkedIn:
“Behind the Science with Berenice Alinde
Note: This video includes lab footage involving blood samples.
Step into the lab with Berenice – PhD student and Research Project Manager at RIRCA.
Behind the scenes, she takes us through the process of working with donor blood:
- Preparing samples
- Dispensing into tubes
- Isolating Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs)
And how these cells will be used to advance vital research
This critical process is central to Berenice’s PhD project and supports other RIRCA studies aimed at improving pregnancy outcomes and advancing HIV research in Africa.”
Proceed to the video attached to the post.
