Sanketh Dhumal Satya: Embryologist – She Came, She Waited, She Won
Sanketh Dhumal Satya, Head of Embryology at Oval Fertility, shared on LinkedIn:
”She entered clinical embryology believing skill alone would be enough. Her class was large, ambitious, and warned only vaguely about competition. Graduation came, then waiting – weeks stretched into months.
Clinics asked for experience she couldn’t legally get without a job.
She watched classmates pivot to sales, research, anything adjacent. Still, she stayed, accepting unpaid hours and quiet corners of the lab.
She learned patience before she learned precision.
Embryos taught her timing more than textbooks ever had.
The work was stressful, the hours strange, the responsibility enormous. Some nights she questioned whether saturation meant failure. But turnover thinned the crowd as years passed. Burnout claimed many who once seemed unstoppable.
Her confidence grew quietly, cell by cell, cycle by cycle. One day, a senior embryologist resigned, and her name was suggested.
The call came without ceremony, just need.
She realized the field wasn’t full – it was filtering.
Saturation lived at the doorway, not in the long hallway beyond.”
