Sima Alnamoora: Day 5 Early Hatching Blastocyst Captured During IVF Cycle Monitoring
Sima Alnamoora, Andrologist at Zeinat Alhiat Fertility Center, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Day 5 early hatching blastocyst. The embryo has reached the expanded blastocyst stage and has begun herniating through a breach in the zona pellucida, a process driven by a combination of proteolytic enzymatic activity (strypsin) and mechanical pressure from blastocoelic expansion. Trophectoderm cells can be seen beginning to protrude through the zona, marking the transition toward zona-free status. Successful hatching is a prerequisite for apposition and adhesion to the endometrial epithelium. Captured in our embryology lab during routine IVF cycle monitoring.”
