ALSWH Celebrates 30 Years of Shaping Women’s Health Policy in Australia – UQ Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences

“This week marks an incredible milestone for the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health (ALSWH)

Over the last 30 years. the study has tracked the health and wellbeing of more than 57,000 Australian women across regional, remote and metropolitan communities. ALSWH has produced key findings on endometriosis and the impact of domestic violence, chronic disease and mental health and has directly informed national health policy.

Launched in 1996, when women’s health was under‑recognised and under‑researched, ALSWH has followed four generations of women, transforming our understanding of women’s health
