“The latest additions to eAtlas of Clinical Embryology focus on oocyte dysmorphisms and fertilization anomalies, with most examples selected from the extensive archive of Reprofit International s.r.o.
The collection is complemented by fascinating cases generously shared by colleagues from other IVF centers.
- Aberrant second polar body extrusion, followed by extensive cytoplasmic vacuolization – contributed by Faraz Baig
- An unusual MII oocyte with polar body-like structures suggestive of spontaneous oocyte activation – contributed by Mahsa Ghaffari Novin
- Herniation of ooplasm through a localized defect in an irregular zona pellucida – contributed by Alexandra Škorňová
