No Difference Between Natural and Artificial Cycles in Endometrium Cases – RBMO

“In a new study published in or April issue, Aikaterini Selntigia, Giovanni Coticchio, and Mauro Cozzolino demonstrate that reproductive outcomes in women with thin endometrium (<7 mm) are not significantly influenced by the choice between modified natural cycle (mNC) and artificial cycle for endometrial preparation.
As shown in their results, embryo quality and day of transfer seem to be more critical determinants of success than the preparation protocol itself. The findings in this paper contribute to the growing body of evidence suggesting that a thin endometrium should not be considered an absolute contraindication to embryo transfer. The practice of cancelling embryo transfer and shifting to an alternative endometrial preparation protocol does not seem to be justified. Therefore, individualized treatment strategies remain essential, also in accordance with preferences of patients.
