New RBMO Review Examines Benefits and Risks of Freeze-All IVF Strategies Across Ovarian Response Groups
Reproductive BioMedicine Online (RBMO) shared a post on LinkedIn about a paper by Christophe Blockeel et al.:
“Today, IVF treatment cycles are often started without having an intent to undertake fresh embryo transfer, however, the patient’s ovarian reserve should always be considered first, as this approach may compromise the chance of pregnancy in low responders.
For frozen embryo transfers, (modified) natural cycles should be preferred to minimise obstetric and perinatal complications.
This new review, authored by a global team of experts, takes the form of a SWOT analysis to provide a detailed evaluation of the benefits or risks in employing a freeze-all strategy for all patients regardless of their (predicted) ovarian response.
