South Carolina, IVF is Under Threat Again! – RESOLVE
RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association shared a post on LinkedIn:
“South Carolina, IVF is under threat again. And we need your voice right now.
On Tuesday, April 14th, the South Carolina Senate Committee on Medical Affairs will hear S. 1095, a bill that would define an ‘unborn child’ from the moment of fertilization and impose criminal penalties and civil liability tied to actions involving an ‘unborn child.’
If passed, this bill could restrict standard IVF practices, including creating multiple embryos, freezing and storing embryos, and making medical decisions about nonviable or unused embryos. It puts providers and patients at serious legal risk.
Thousands of South Carolinians defeated a personhood bill last fall and earlier this year. Now we need even more voices to keep the pressure on and defeat this one, too.
Here is how you can help right now:
Fill out the form and send an email directly to the members of the Senate Committee on Medical Affairs.
Personalize it with your family building story and how S. 1095 would affect your ability to build a family.
Share this post and help us make noise for South Carolina families.
Your story is your most powerful tool. Take action now.”
