Lucile Ferreux: The Hidden Reality of Male Fertility, Have You Ever Had a Spermiogram?
Lucile Ferreux, Directrice médicale at Cesar Fertility, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We asked 162 men about their fertility. Here’s what they told us.
For several weeks, at Cesar Fertility, we interviewed 162 men aged between 20 and 77, in a relationship or not, parents or not, in an ART course or not. They all had one thing in common: to be confronted, one day or another, with the question of their fertility.
The result is edifying:
- 74% of them have never had a semen analysis.
- 61% have done nothing to find out about their fertility (neither read an article, nor consulted, nor listened to a podcast).
- Only 10% consider a preventive approach, compared to 60% who will only act if they have difficulty conceiving.
In other words: male fertility remains, in 2026, a blind spot in men’s health. We don’t know, we don’t think about it, we wait for a difficulty and often, we discover it too late.
Over the next few weeks, we will share detailed findings from this survey here. The obstacles, the misunderstandings, the needs expressed. And what can be concretely changed.
You are a man: have you ever had a spermiogram?.”
