Diagnostic Challenge, Looking Beyond Renal Duplication and Ureterocele! – CFEF
CFEF – Collège Français d’Échographie Fœtale shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Continuation of our clinical case of the month shared by Dr. Laurence GITZ.
As a reminder: initial diagnosis of a right renal duplication, with dilation of the upper pole of the kidney, dilation of the ureter and ureterocle.
But the story doesn’t end there, and this case shows us how important it is to remain vigilant even when the diagnosis seems easy, because sometimes it’s the small things, which are harder to see, that have the most consequences…
Your mission:
- Analyze the images carefully
- Identify the semiological elements that concern you
- Discuss possible diagnostic hypotheses
- Propose an etiological orientation by arguing your reasoning
Share your observations and hypotheses in the comments
Response and discussion next week
It’s up to you.”
